Flu Shot
Flu Shot? Skip it… “The single best way to protect against the flu is to get vaccinated each year.” This headline comes from the CDC (Centers for Disease Control). The CDC has frankly never produced evidence to support this claim. Additionally, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) covered up the flu vaccine’s ineffectiveness for older adults. In a large study, published in Clinical Infectious Diseases, researchers followed 7,000 people over eight consecutive flu seasons. New studies show that if you get your flu shot every year, you get no benefits from being a repeat customer. In fact, the only people who benefit at all from a flu shot are those…

Flourless Brownie Recipe… You won’t even leave a crumb behind!
Flourless Brownie Recipe Did you know brownies were created here in the U.S. at the end of the 19th century? I used to love brownies and miss them as a chocolaty treat these days. Michael B. Jordan and “Creed” How Eating Affects How You Look
Michael B. Jordan and “Creed”… What You Eat Really Does Affect How You Look on the Outside Check out this article on what Michael B. Jordan ate to prepare for his role in “Creed”. It really illustrates how what you eat affects how you look! I think the more important takeaway from this is that you have the power to look and feel better by making good food choices. Aside from wanting to know what was in the protein shake (they can have a lot of sugar for one thing…) and wanting to be sure the oats were not GMO but either organic or heritage and gluten free, I really like this diet. And,…

In memory of Geoff Hoff…
In Memory of Geoff Hoff… I knew Geoff Hoff longer than I’ve known anyone else online. He led the “Red Group” I was in when I signed up for Pat O’Bryan’s course: “Wow! This is Easy!” back in 2010 or thereabouts… Along with learning, Wow!…this isn’t easy… it’s a lot of work, I also learned that Geoff was a remarkably patient, earnest and caring person. Later, I reconnected with Geoff through Connie Ragen Green. I joined his Wednesday night call and met several other great people through him who were also developing online businesses, and learned so much. He became my techie go-to guru person; I depended upon him to…

Vitamin D and Depression – the positive effect of vitamin D on your mood
Vitamin D and Depression…The Positive Effects of Vitamin D on Your Mood I just realized I ran out of Vitamin D which is what prompted this post. As someone who struggled with depression for decades (please note the past tense used here), I am acutely aware of the effect that vitamin D plays on mood, sadness and depression. Studies have shown a link between vitamin D deficiency and mood. Vitamin D is a vitamin our body produces but does not store. In fact, each day we need a source of vitamin D or we will become deficient in that vitamin. The good news is that getting enough vitamin D…

Stay mentally active to fight off Alzheimer’s and Dementia…learn something new! I begin taking electric bass guitar lessons tomorrow! No, this is not a mistake. I’ve decided to learn to play a new instrument. This time it’s electric bass guitar.
