Today is National Food Day
Did you know today is National Food Day? Perfect! Today is National Food Day…right up my alley, as they say. I didn’t used to be a foodie. Eating was necessary, but I didn’t really eat with enthusiasm. I didn’t realize I just didn’t like the foods I was raised on. Steak, white rice and potatoes and vegetables boiled until they were gray… My mom was a terrific baker, but the cultural background and the food she and my father were raised on in very waspy cultures just didn’t work for me. I admit to being a strange kid food-wise. Hated steak and peanut butter and loved liver and spinach…go figure……

What May Cause Depression
What may cause depression is a great question to ask if it is something that plagues you. I lived with depression for decades, and only five years ago made changes in my life that lifted my depression. At the time, I didn’t understand what helped me as I had made the changes to help my husband get off the statin medication that was giving him terrible side effects. Some of what I changed is included in this video. I hope this helps you as much as it has helped me. It’s part but not all of the story… Helping You Achieve Major Wellness in Your Life! I know, I know…that’s four words, but you know what I…

Sugar Addiction, and who in the world is Roger Mason?
Sugar Addiction, and who in the world is Roger Mason? I don’t always agree with everything Roger Mason writes. But…I do think he has some valid points, and I do take some of his vitamins and his mineral products. They are affordable and well done! Today I want to share with you his latest article which is spot on about sugar addiction and sugar substitutes. My favorite part is when he writes: “We have no need at all for sugar in our diets. The real answer is to just stop this sugar addiction. Fifty years ago we didn’t do this. No culture has ever done this. 1 in 3 American children…

Eating and Exercising Challenges – I have them too!
Eating and Exercising Challenges I’m no stranger to eating and exercising challenges, but as frequently happens, I was in a group recently talking about diet and healthy eating; someone said to me, “Oh you’ve never had a weight problem. This is easy for you…” I thought I would address this today. It’s not always been easy for me, and I remember quite a few years ago, I was very unhappy with my job. My solution was to go home and bake, from scratch, an apple turnover for four…it was delicious… I ate it all myself in one sitting in my den, by myself, while watching Mash reruns. I put on…
