Got back pain? It’s one of my personal health challenges and it’s a problem shared by so many people!

Got Back Pain!

My personal challenge is scoliosis that really took off in the past ten years, or so I thought.  With the information I’ve learned in the program I’m going to share with you a little later, I can now trace the beginnings back to when I was about 12.  It’s been interesting and enlightening to get a new perspective and a more holistic understanding of what’s happened to me over the years.

In the past, I have used chiropractic and acupuncture to help me cope with my back pain.  About 20 years ago, I found a fabulous chiropractic doctor, Dr. Mary Benkert in Lexington, MA, who has helped me immensely.  I am her biggest fan, and I still see her whenever necessary.

At one point several years ago, I approached my primary care physician to find out what I could do about my back pain.  I ended up in the office of an orthopedic doctor who looked at my x-rays and immediately slapped an x-ray of an 80 year old woman’s back up on the light box.  He told me he could do that for me, too…a steel rod and screws to somewhat straighten and stabilize my curving spine.  When I told him I did not consider surgery an option I was willing to entertain, he asked me if I was embarrassed by how my spine looked…”Well, not until now.  Thanks for that.”  Then he asked me if I were having difficulty walking.  “No, I was not.” But his question made me worry about my long-term prognosis and mobility.

Back pain can color and limit your entire life.  It can dictate what you can and cannot do, what you can and cannot enjoy in your life.  To this end, I am on a mission to share a recent discovery that is making a huge difference in my life.  My hope is that in spreading the word, I can help others find the same relief I’ve discovered.  The program is called Loose The Back Pain, and it was developed by Jesse Cannone,  a chiropractor and Steve Hefferon, a sports massage therapist.  They have

For me, the relief from my back pain and spasms was almost immediate.  My pelvis amazingly leveled and adjusted which was a huge relief in itself.  I also started the exercises to relieve sciatica which had become a recent problem as a result of my car being rear-ended about 2 months ago.  This caused a nerve to catch in my left lower back which would prevent me from standing up straight at random times.  It was a lot of work to look “normal” out in the world when this would happen.  Now when it does, I can do one or two of what are for me the most effective of the sciatica exercises and get immediate relief.

My hope is that this helps you as much as it has helped me.  Please don’t give up on yourself; this can be a real alternative to medication and/or back surgery.  For me, all I had to do is follow the program, and it has made such a difference in my pain level.  I was out doing some gardening the other morning.  I surprised myself!
