Wild Rice with Lentils, Quinoa and Beans

Wild Rice with Lentils, Quinoa and Beans


  • 1 tsp minced garlic or 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp dried onion flakes
  • ¼ tsp white or black pepper
  • 1 tsp anchovy paste
  • 1 cup wild rice
  • ¼ cup sprouted lentils
  • ½ cup quinoa
  • 1 can black, pinto or kidney beans
  • 1 tbsp capers (optional)
  • 3 cups vegetable broth


  • In a covered pot, add 1 cup wild rice and 2 cups broth
  • Add anchovy paste & capers
  • Bring to a boil and simmer for 20 minutes
  • Add lentils and quinoa and another cup of broth
  • Add spices and let simmer for another 15 minutes
  • Add beans and cook until the rice and quinoa are tender but still a bit chewy
  • Options:
  • Substitute ½ cup white wine for ½ cup of the broth
  • Add an additional can of beans if desired
