What does “glyphosate” mean to you?
Let me ask that another way…If you found out you were eating the key ingredient in the week killer Roundup (known as glyphosate), would you care?
I hope the answer is yes. If you are eating many common breakfast cereals and bars, then you are ingesting glyphosate with your morning meal.
I want to share with you an article I read today. In it the author, Arman Azad of CNN writes:
“In August, a jury in San Francisco ordered Roundup’s manufacturer, Monsanto, to pay $289 million in damages to a school groundskeeper who argued that the glyphosate-based weed killer caused his cancer. A judge on Monday upheld that decision but slashed Monsanto’s payout to $78 million.”
Here’s a link to the complete article. It’s well worth the few minutes it will take you to read it. Please keep in mind that while Monsanto and other manufacturers maintain glyphosate is safe in their products, how many other places are you eating or being exposed to it? And are they accurate when they tell you not to worry about it? Personally, I would not want to take a chance on it or on trusting Monsanto.
