I get emails from people who tell me they don’t know where to turn for good information on how to change their eating habits to change their health.
I am so excited to share with you what I have learned over the years, and especially what I’ve learned over the past year and a few months that is really working well for me. These changes have transformed my life both emotionally and physically. Can you imagine trying to eat enough to keep weight on? It can happen.
The first thing I want to assure you is that you don’t have to suffer when you change your eating habits. You won’t be gnawing on bark and drinking dreadful tasting stuff. The food you will enjoy is delicious, and you can have treats!
How should you start? For most people, this is a learning experience; I know it was for me. Start incorporating changes slowly and learn how to eat at home, on a trip and at a restaurant. What to look for, and what do definitely avoid. Notice how you feel if you cheat a lot. Honestly, the thing that has kept me on the straight and narrow is that I have never felt better. I feel so much better that I am afraid not to eat this way. Don’t expect your life to be perfect; some days are still a challenge, but you will be doing wonderful things for yourself, and your body and your mind will thank you.
When you really get into it, one of the benefits I noticed is that the areas I could never get to slim down and lose the nasty fat stuff (sorry, but that’s what it is) just melted away. I could actually put on a pair of jeans I optimistically bought and couldn’t wear because the thighs were too slim. Every time I bent down, I would have to hike them up… Maddening! Not any more…
